She

She looked at me from the sofa. She knew she had me from that first look. She half-blinked, half winked. I knew what she wanted. The tension of need ran between us.

“Yes?” I questioned.

She needed no words. She opened he mouth slightly and licked her lips. That was all the information I needed.  I stood up. She followed.

Arriving in the kitchen she sat, excitedly wagging her tail. It was six-thirty. Time for dinner.
